I’m loving these morning challenges. I totally understand that some of you may not see them in time and have to do things a little later, but that’s ok!! Keep plugging away and doing the little things that help you to Slow Down and Make Your Home a Refuge. One day at a time. One challenge at a time. One change at a time.
This week we are making over our mornings a bit. How was your quiet time yesterday? What did you do? I’d love to hear all about it.
Today’s challenge is going to be short and sweet. I mean, we’ve already added on a 15 minute morning assignment, right? So, today sometime during your morning quiet time pick a passage to meditate on. Pick it and write it down on an index card. Or a piece of scrap paper. Heck, this is all new. I don’t care what you do. Improvise. Write it on the back of an envelope that you found on the kitchen counter. (can you tell I’m a mom?) The important thing is to write it down. Then, stick it in your pocket. Pull it out throughout the day. Read it. Try to memorize a little. Keep coming back to it. Store it in your heart.
That’s it. Simple. Write down a phrase or passage or scripture and commit to meditating on it all day. Keep it tucked in your pocket and refer to it a few times throughout the day! Enjoy.
P.S. I would LOVE to hear what you are meditating on today. Mine is Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
